SCOTT MCGOWAN has been a member of Vivid since 2007 and has played the universe, a gay physician assistant, a bereaved lover, a cuckold, a ghost whisperer, an almond lover, a German chanteuse, a droll dancer and a singing money God.  He has Stage Managed many shows with the company as well as appeared in countless cabarets and with the improv troupe, The Flip Side.  Also in NJ he has appeared with Centenary Stage, the Bickford Theatre (NJ Tony Award Best Actor in a Musical from the Newark Star Ledger for Mack & Mabel and I Do!, I Do!), Women’s Theatre, Surflight and Catalyst Theatre.  Among Scott’s regional performances are an Indiana Jones doll, the Wicked Witch of the West (twice) and the emcee for Holiday Spectacular on Ice (on skates no less!).  Traditional roles include Tony in Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center, Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, Georges in La Cage aux Folles and the Emcee in Cabaret.  Scott has also performed and/or directed Forever Plaid eleven times. He was awarded Best Supporting Actor in a Musical from the state of New Hampshire for Miss Saigon and Evita.  A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, and extremely proud parent of Shaelyn and Essa. Thanks to Rick and Mary who share my co-parenting joy.
